HANOVER - INDIA: 1859, fully prepaid lettersheet with large part of contents via Trieste and the 'Overland Mail' to Calcutta, India, franked with 3 gr. dark orange in horizontal strip of 5, the right stamp slightly touched on the right, otherwise full to wide margins, 1 gr. rose and horizontal pair 3 pfg. rose (these partly touched or slightly faulty) with lightly applied cds. "BEVERSTEDT 5/8" (1859). The foreign share of 13½ gr. is noted on the front and back of the entire, but in Triest by mistake only marked "15" for the paid share to Alexandria instead of "15/52" for the entire prepaid amount and therefore charged at Alexandria additionally "1/-" in black ink (somewhat faint, but visible over the strip), corresponding boxed "CALCUTTA STEAMLETTER / 1859 SEP 8 / Steam Bc./India Do." with handwritten "8" (Ana) on reverse. An exceptionally rare and interesting letter with a rare strip and in very fine condition for this destination. 1859, Briefhülle mit großem Teil des Inhaltes über Triest und die 'Overland Mail' nach Calcutta, Indien, frankiert mit 3 Gr. dunkelorange im waagerechten 5er-Streifen, der rechte Wert rechts leicht berührt, sonst alle voll- bis breitrandig, 1 Gr. rosa und waagerechtem Paar 3 Pfg. rosa (diese teils berührt bzw. gering fehlerhaft) mit leicht aufgesetztem DKr. "BEVERSTEDT 5/8" (1859). Das Weiterfranko in Höhe von 13½ Gr. ist vorder- und rückseitig vermerkt, jedoch in Triest nur der Anteil bis Alexandria mit "15" Neukreuzern notiert , statt des komplett vorausbezahlten Betrages von "15/52"; entsprechend in  Alexandria mit "1/-" nachtaxiert, in Indien "CALCUTTA STEAMLETTER / 1859 SEP 8 / Steam Bc./Indien Do." mit handschriftlichen "8" (Ana) angebracht. Ein außerordentlich seltener und interessanter Auslandsbrief mit einer auf Brief außerordentlich seltenen Streifeneinheit und in für diese Destination frischer und attraktiver Erhaltung; sign.
