1843, GREAT WESTERN: Folded letter dated "Edinburg 8th February 1843", franked with 1841 GB Victoria 2d. horizontal strip of six and horizontal pair, tied by maltese cross, endorsed "p. Great Western from Bristol", adressed to New York. Especially the first two stamps of the strip somewhat touched, vertical crease through the second stamp as well as further right, still and attractive entire

1846, GREAT BRITAIN: Folded letter dated "Liverpool 19 August 1846" endorsed "p. Great Britain", addressed to New York, charged "8" for ship fee, leaving Liverpool on the 22nd of September with matching "SHIP-LETTER LIVERPOOL SP 22 46" on reverse, during the journey the strip stranded on the rocks in Dundrum Bay of the Coast of Northern Ireland, the mails were quickly salvaged and sent on to New York, there charged with "7" cents., a very fine and rare entire with only a handful of covers from this Shipwreck known

1844, ACADIA: Folded letter dated "Edinburgh 2nd August 1844" to New York, franked with 1841 Victoria 2d. blue horizontal strip of five and single, tied by numeral "131", right stamp touched at bottom, some faults, otherwise fine

1848, BRITANNIA: Victoria 1p. red, three singles and 1847 Embossed 1sh. green, four singles, mostly touched, tied by numeral "466" to folded letter to New York, paying the 2oz letter rate plus 3d. late fee, upon arrival, charged with "17" cents as triple rate, attractive and rare entire

1848, AMERICA: Victoria 2d. blue and 1847 Embossed 10d. red-brown tied by numeral to envelope endorsed "p Royal mail packet" to new York, upon arrival charged with "12" cents (10c. as double letter and 2c. ship fee), adhesives with faults, yet and scarce entire from the first westbound voyage under the Restored Rate period

1852, HERMANN: Ceres 10c. horizontal pair and 1 fr. single tied by grille sans fine to folded letter from "PARIS 8 NOV 52" to Philadelphia, upon arrival in New York integral cds. "NEW YORK 21 NOV 23" struck, adhesives some faults, yet and attractive entire of the scarce 15g. rate 

1852, PACIFIC: Ceres 40c. orange, two vertical pairs tied by grille sans fins to double-weight folded letter with adjacent cds. "PARIS 13 DEC 52" to New York, upon arrival charged with "21" as single rate, adhesives some faults, still attractive, certificate Ceres (2002)

1856, BALTIC: Victoria 1d. red tied by illegible numeral to printed circular to Baltimore, upon arrival "2" cents due applied, under the 1848 Convention there was no accounting for the ocean postage. Each country kept its own inland charge, adhesives small tear, otherwise fine

1857, ALPS:  Victoria 2d. blue and 6d. mauve tied by duplex-numeral "LIVERPOOL 466" to folded letter endorsed "per Alps" to New York, upon arrival black integral cds. "BOSTON MAR 20 5" applied, scarce and attractive entire conveyed with the only one-way voyage from this ship which had been chartered from Cunard

1857, HERMANN: Last voyage, Napoleon 80c. horizontal strip of four tied by dotted numeral "1896" with adjacent cds. "MARSEILLE 12 JUN 57" to envelope to New York, sent via Calais to Southampton, upon arrival red "NEW YORK PAID JUN 30" struck, adhesives touched and one stamp small paper fault, still an attractive item of the last voyage and penultimate voyage of this line

1858, NORTHERN LIGHT: Maiden Return Voyage, Victoria 1sh. green tied by numeral "230" to folded letter to New York, credit handstamp "21" and further red "PAID" alongside, adhesive with straight margin at left, fine and attractive entire

1867, FULTON: Victoria 1sh. green tied by numeral "49" to folded lettersheet from London to New York, red cridit handstamp "21 CENTS" alongside, a fresh and very attractive entire carried on the last voyage of the "Fulton" and last voyage of the Havre line

1860, HUNGARIAN: Victoria 6d. violet tied by duplex "LONDON FE 8 60" to Fredericton, New Brunswick. The Ship wrecked on Cape Sable, Nova Scotia on the 20th during a gale, 237 lives were lost in this disaster with no survivors, some of the mail bags were washed ashore, reverse with red manuscript "Saved from "SS Hungarian", faults as to be expected, very rare with only 3 covers known from this wreck

1861, JURA: Maiden Voyage after purchase by Allan from Cunard, Victoria 2d. blue and 4d. rose tied by duplex "EDINGBURG OC 16 61" to small envelope to Virginia, underpaid, and thus debit handstamp "3 CENTS" applied, missed the sailing of "ANGLO SAXON" thus put on "JURA", franking ingnored and with integral cds. "PORTLAND AM. PKT. 24 NOC 4 1861" struck on arrival, the cover was undeliverable due to the Civil War, sent to Dead Letter office and two strikes of red boxed "Sent back to England without a reason for non delivery", fine and interesting entire

1862, NORWEGIAN: Victoria 1sh. green tied by numeral to slightly reduced cover to Washington, "21 CENTS" due handstamp applied and red integral "PORTLAND AM. PKt. 24 APR 15 1862 PAID" applied upon arrival, small horizontal bend, otherwise fine

1864, ST.DAVID: Victoria 4d. brownish-red, horizontal pair and singles, tied by duplex "HAWICK NO 24 64" to mourning cover to Canton, New York. The ship broke her scrw and was towed by the "Damascus" to Portland, there the rare circular red "21" struck as credit handstamp to the UK, right stamp few imperfections, rare and attractive entire being one of only four recorded bearing the circular "21 cents" handstamp

1866, CITY OF LONDON: Victoria 2d. blue and horizontal pair 1sh green tied y numeral "46" to folded letter with late fee, endorsed "City of London via Queenstown" to New York, unusual red crayon accounting mark "42/2" debiting the UK, left 1sh pulled perf at bottom, otherwise fine

1866, DAMASCUS: Victoria 6d. violet, two singles, tied by duplex "ARDCAY MR 22 66" to envelope to Victoria, Vancouver Island with red "PAID DERRY MR 23 66 .." alongside, fine

1868, CITY OF CORK: Victoria 6d. violet tied by duplex "EDINBURGH FE 29 68" to envelope to Kingston, New Brunswick, missed the connection in Liverpool and caught up with the ship in Queenstown via the H&K packet, reverser with transit and arrival mark, fine

1854, AMERICA: Embossed 6d. violet and 1sh green (cut to shape), tied by barred numeral to folded lettersheet, endorsed "p America", to St. Stephens, New Brunswick, charged "1/-" Late Fee at Floating Receiving House Liverpool, with transit and arrival mark on reverse, fine

1856, ASIA: Napoleon 10c. brown, 20c. blue and 40c. orange and horizontal strip of four 80c. red tied by continuous grid roller cancel to folded letter to New York, upon arrival black integral cds. "N. YORK BR. PKt.  10 MAY 16" struck, adhesives some faults, scarce cover which was prepaid with a total of 3fr90c for triple 13-decimes rate, but due 10c for the double-rate in New York (non-parallel weight progressions between France and the U.S.)

1858, AMERICA: Victoria 6d. violet and horizontal pair 1sh. green tied by barred numeral to double-weight folded letter to New York, endorsd "Sample enclosed", paying 1oz letter and the special 6d. late fee for the boat train, red "10 CENTS" credit handstamp struck alongside, adhesives some minor imperfections, otherwise fine

1858, ARABIA: Victoria 2d. blue, horizontal strip of six, tied by numeral "252" to envelope to New York, red handstamp "ABOVE ½oz" appplied, departed from Liverpool, collided with "EUROPA", three days out of Boston, near Cape Race, "ARABIA" proceeded to New York where black integral cds. was struck charging "48" cents, double the deficiency, adhesives some edge wear as to be expected, a fine and attractive entire

1858, NIAGARA: Napoleon 20c. blue, four singles, tied by dotted numeral "1495" with matching cds. "LE HAVRE 10 MARS 58" alongside to folded letter endorsed "Pr. Liverpool Steamer" to New York, upon arrival red integral "NEW YORK PAID MAR 29 15" applied, right adhesives touched and vertical crease, otherwise fine

1859, AMERICA: Victoria 2d. blue, plate 7, two slightly overlapping vertical pairs, tied by barred "A95" to folded letter to St. Catherines, Canada with arrival mark on reverse, fine

1859, ASIA: Victoria 2d. blue, 4p. rose and 1sh. green tied by barred numeral to folded letter to New Orleans, paying the 1/- plus the scarce 6d. F.R.H. late fee, reduced from 1/- two weeks earlier when the stop at Queenstown was introduced, it quickly became apparent it was not necessary to pay a Late Fee in Liverpool, with red integral arrival "NEW YORK Br. PKt. NOV 13 PAID 24", fine
