1852, William III. 1 silbergros reddish-orange in block of 4, nice fresh and deep colour and good to large margins, neatly cancelled by circle of 9 bars of Luxemburg. A tiny thin between the two right-hand stamps, slightly affecting the top line of the lower right stamp only and the same stamp tiny marginal tear at right, just into the outer frameline but merely touching the design. Blocks of this stamp are extremely rare, this one being one of the finest in terms of quality. Certificate Demuth BPP (1985)
1852, William III. 10 centimes black, first printing, 2 horizontal pairs, the first one cut into the outer frameline at lower right, otherwise ample to large margins, the second one with well ballanced margins , tied by green 'pointe perforante' to entire letter to Sarreguemines in France with 2 adjacent strikes of red cds. "LUXEMBOURG 18 SEPT 52". Certificate Demuth BPP (1981)

1858, Second issue 80 parale bright red on blued paper, a magnificent horizontal pair with enormous margins all round, used on 1861 quadruple rate cover to Jassy, tied by fine strikes of framed FRANCO / TEKOUTCI handstamps (Kiriac fig. 320) in blue with corresponding "Tekutsch / Moldova" datestamp (12/8) alongside (Kiriac fig. 283). An extraordinary cover, a pair being the largest known used multiple of the 80 pa. on blued paper recorded. A delightful and rare cover, just four recorded on letter, this being probably the finest.
