NORTH GERMAN CONFEDERATION-PHILIPPINES, 1869, Envelope from "ODENKIRCHEN 27 7" via Trieste and Alexandria to Manila, correctly prepaid with 1868, 1 groschen rose and 5 groschen brown-olive and 1869, 2 groschen blue. The foreign share is noted with "7" groschen, the total amount additionally as "24½" kreuzer in red; "2" reales for the postage beyond Hongkong had to be paid by the recipient. On reverse transit marks of  Vienna, Trieste and Hongkong (8.9.) and Manila arrival mark (13.9.). Some minor transportation marks, otherwise fine. A very attractive item with extremely rare destination, just one further letter from the North German Federation to the Philippines has been recorded. Signed Blecher BPP with certificate (1984) Provenance: Consul Karl-Hillard Geuther (320. Heinrich Köhler-auction, 2004) 1869, Briefkuvert frankiert mit 1868, 1 Groschen rosa und 5 Groschen ocker sowie 1869, 2 Groschen ultramarin mit sauber auf- und nebengesetztem DKr. "ODENKIRCHEN 27 7" über Triest und Alexandria nach Manila. Das Weiterfranko in blau mit "7" Groschen notiert, das Gesamtporto zusätzlich mit "24½" Kreuzer in rot. Der Empfänger in Manila hatte zusätzlich "2" Reales für das Seepostporto jenseits von Hongkong  zu bezahlen. Der entsprechende philippinische Taxstempel geht leicht auf die 1 Groschen-Marke über. Bis auf übliche leichte Beförderungsspuren in sehr schöner und frischer Erhaltung. Ein außerordentlich seltener und attraktiver Brief, es ist nur ein weiterer mit NDP-Frankatur auf die Philippinen registriert.
