1856/62, Estancos 5 c. vermilion, strip of five, original strip of six and single stamp, mixed margins, the strip of five with parts of adjoining stamps at top and bottom, tied by target cancel to front and reverse of letter sheet with adjacent red "VALPARAISO CHILE 11 SET 63" to Arequipa, Peru, with frontside straight line "ISLAY" and taxed with "2r" in manuscript. The strip of six was fixed around the edge of the entire and torn by opening. a fine entire with a remarkable and very rare franking to abroad. (Scott 9d)

1864, Kuvert ab "HERDORF 4 9" nach Lima, Peru, mit "14¼" Sgr. voll bezahlt, mit Leitvermerk "p. Hamburg", der Brief verpasste in Hamburg den HAPAG-Dampfer und wurde dann über Bremen, mit rotem Ra1 "PAID." und ausgewiesenem Weiterfranko "f12¼" bzw. "27"c., mit dem NDL nach New York, sowie anschließend mit einem amerikanischen Postschiff nach "PANAMA OC 14 1864" speditiert, schließlich für "12" c. nach Lima, die Klappe fehlend, sonst ein schöner Brief in guter Erhaltung mit seltener Destination
