1877, 10c. brick-red as block of eight plus single, paying internal rate for 9 Uruguayan weights of 7,5 gr., tied by barred "A" to reverse of enevelope endorsed "Pr. Str. Nord America" addressed to Genoa, upon arrival charged for five Italian weights of 15gr. and postage due 5l. applied and tied by cds. "GENOVA 3 1 78" with two-line handstamp "Da Montevideo coi Postali Italiani" alongside, some folds away from adhesives and openend out for display, this is already a very rare single franking, beyond that the only known letter from South America with a single 5l. postage due stamp, signed E. Diena with certificate (1987)

1877, unpaid enevelope sent from Montevideo to Genoa, taxed "10" d. thus postage due two singles 50cl. applied and tied by cds. "AGQUI 3 SET 77" and two-line "Da Montevideo coi Postali Italiani" alongside, reverse flap roughly opened and small tear at top, otherwise a fine and attractive cover directly consigned to the Italian Consulate
1867, Postal stationery enevelope Numerals 10c. green endorsed "p. Vapore Europa" paying the local postage, taxed "9" d. and two-line "Da Buenos Aires coi Postali Italiani" alongside, faults at top and two disinfection slits, a rare cover as the "Europa" did not call at Montevideo, the cover was privately sent to the Buenos Aires P.O. and embarked on the "Europa", only two entires with this peculiarity are known (Higgins & Gage#6)
1879, Postal stationery enevelope Numerals 10c. blue endorsed "p Steamer Matteo Bruzzo" from "MONTEVIDEO AUG 8 84" to Lemgo and from there forwarded to Bad Oeynhausen (Higgins und Gage #8)
During the ships journey a terrible cholera epodemic afflicted the people provoking several deaths. The vessel was rejected by Uruguay and Brazil and forced to sail back to Italy, where it was kept in quarantine close to the isle of Pianosa

1880, Bolívar 25c. yellow tied by oval "CORREOS VENEZUELA 18 JUNIO 1880 CARACAS" to refolded envelope with adjacent octogonal "LA GUAYRA PAQ. FR. D. No 2 30 JUIN 80" to Genoa, small tears in enveleope, otherwise very attractive and rare

1870, folded letter dated "Maracaybo 28th Feb 1873" to Genoa, endorsed "P. Steamer" with blue straight-line "TEUTONIA" added by the purser, reverse of "SHIP-LETTER C LONDON AP 19 73", upon arrival charged "17" thus postage due "50c. and pair of 60c. applied and tied by cds., some minor ageing, otherwise fine and scarce as letters carried by German ships before 1895 from Venezuela are very infrequent, especially combared to those carried by French and British packets, signed Sorani with certificate
1859, Coat of arms 1r. blue, fine printing, fresh colour and mostly good to large margins, each with central "0" in black on folded letter to Genoa, paying the single weight not exceeding ½ ounce as stipulated for carriage between Venezuela and St. Thomas, accountancy marking "G.B. 1F60C" alongside, upon arrival charged "20" decimes, a beatiful and a very rare cover with only few of these frankings recorded on transatlantic covers, certificate Moorhouse (2017)
