VENEZUELA - UNITED STATES: 1869, Entire letter sent from British PO "CIUDAD-BOLIVAR PAID SP 1 69", franked with Trinidad (1 d.), tied by "D22" and sent via "TRINIDAD SP 5" and "ST. THOMAS SP 13" to New York with frontside "N.Y. STEAMSHIP 10" and from here to Philadelphia with arrival mark of September 21. A fine and rare letter. Only about half a dozen letters are recorded with Trinidad 1 d. stamps franked and cancelled at Ciudad Bolivar for Trinidad transit. (SG 69), certificate RPSL (2001) Provenance: J.
