MONT ATHOS: Internal courier mail between monasteries on Mt. Athos, about 100 items mostly in Greek and Russian. Little is known about how the service operated but letters normally have a seal (wax, handstamp or paper). Sometimes they are written on illustrated lettersheets. This extraordinary group provides the basis for a specialised exhibit collection, over 100 items
