1923, cover franked on reverse with three copies of the 1923  1 anna red cancelled by superb strikes of "DAK RAJ BUNDI 14 SEP 23" cds (SG value £264)

India KGV 1/2 anna postal stationery envelope additionally franked, on reverse, with 1923  1 anna carmine SG Type "B" and two copies of 1923  1 anna carmine SG Type "C" cancelled by "DAK RAJ BUNDI" 1920 cds. This cover proves that the 1 anna carmine stamps in SG Type "B" and Type "C" were issued as early as 1920, not 1923 as stated in the SG catalogue. It is interesting to note that while the sender used the Imperial postal stationery the letter was never handled by the Imperial post.
