1859, Fine printing 2 r. red in horizontal strip of 3, nice deep colour, clear too large margins, tied by2 good strikes of blue cds. “CORREOS CARACAS NOV 7” to triple rate letter sheet via St. Thomas and England to Pamplona, Spain with London transit- and arrival mark.. 1861, coarse  printing 1/2 r. yellow, horizontal strip of 5, nice vivid colour, 3 stamps touched in places, otherwise good to large margins, tied by blue cds. “CORREOS CARACAS JUL 8” to letter sheet to La Guaira. One stamp with crease, otherwise fine. A very scarce franking.

1854, (12 Dec.) envelope from "LORCH 12 DEC 1854" endorsed "über Bremen" with blue double-circle "ST.P.A. BREMEN 16 12" to Philadelphia. Upon arrival, the letter was undeliverable and could not be delivered despite notice, with two-line "ADVS 1 Cts" set alongside, so after a little over a year the letter was returned the same way with interegral cds. "N. YORK U.S. Pkt. 22 FEB 13" struck alongside. Later opened for sender identification and closed with vignette "COMMISION FOR RETOUR LETTERS". The consignee was ultimately charged "33" x, opened out for display and same faults as to be expected, a very scarce and attractive entire
