1848, Post Paid 2d. blue, early impression, Pos.11 , beautiful deep colour and nice impression, good even margins, used with light central blue Mahébourg double-ring numeral '1'. A tiny trace of crayon reduced at foot, otherwise very fine . A most attractive copy of this rare stamp. Certificate BPA (2022)

1859/62, Britannia 6 d. with good margins, in combination with 1860/63, DLR 2 d. blue, tied by mute oval to letter sheet from "G.P.O. MAURITIUS MY 15 1860" to Calcutta, India with clear "CALCUTTA SHIPLETTER 1860 JU 22 Bg." with manuscript "5a". Very fine and rare 8d. rate, paying the letter rate via Aden. A similar cover from the same correspondence, sent one week earlier, was in the Kanai collection.

1848, folded letter dated "Wellington 20 June 1848" with red crown circle "PAID AT WELLINGTON" and manuscript "4" rating alongside endorsed "pr Philip Lang" to London, there remailed with London "PAID" maltese cross and red manuscript "1/-" rating, carried by Cunard Line "Acadia" from Liverpool to Boston with red arrival "BOSTON SHOP NOV 4*" and matching "29" cent retaliatory due rating handstamp, an very attractive and rare usage from New Zealnd

1853, triple-weight folded letter dated "Quebec 30 July 1853" weighinhg, from "MONTREAL JY 31 1853" to Cognac, France. Red boxed "CANADA &c. ART 12." on front, carried by the "Europa" from Halifax to Liverpool, total charge of "51" decimes applied at arrival, fine

1859, Victoria 12½c. blueish-green with pen-stroke on mourning cover with adjacent cds. "WILLIAM-HENRY 7 DE 1859" to London, carried on the "Europa" from Boston to Queenstown, so straight-line "MORE TO PAY." struck with handstamp "2" due alongside, stamp with corner fault,  otherwise fine and attractive

1864 (25 Aug.), Victoria 6d. gray-black and 2d. violet tied by illegible grid cancel, reverse shows cds. "SANDHURST 26 AU", to envelope to Maine,  via Southampton and London with transit mark "LONDON OC 20" and red "16 cents" credit handstamp, from Londonderry with the "Hibernian" to Quebec, when the cover was bagged to Portland, with corresponding "PORTLAND M AM PKt 5 NOV 18 1864" alongside, by rail.
