1863, Sitzende Helvetia 60 Rp. kupferbronze und 20 Rp. gelborange, beide farbfrisch und gut gezähnt, mit DKr. "AARAU 15 IX 64" auf Briefkuvert nach Alexandria, Ägypten. Leitvermerk "via Trieste con vapore Austriaco", rückseitig entsprechende Transitstempel von Ulm (15.9.), Wien (17.9.) und Triest (18.9.) sowie Ankunftsstempel des österreichischen Postamtes in Alexandria (26.9.). 1d. black, deep shade, plate 1B, CJ, large regular margins, tied by red Maltese Cross to entire showing faint "HUNTLY" straight line handstamp on reverse to Aberdeen. The content is dated "Huntly 19 June 1840" indicating a very early postal use of plate 1B.

The letter is adressed to "Rev. S. Garrat", Islington. Reverend C. Samuel Garrat was priest of St. Stephen's, Islington at the time.
