5 c. red-brown on blued, horizontal block of twelve, nice fresh colour, the upper left stamp partly close, otherwise with good  to large margins all round, with small sheet margin at base,  tied by target cancels to entire letter with adjacen red “SANTIAGO 26 AGTO 57” to Valparaiso, paying the 3 ounce rate. Faint horizontal creasing in the top row, otherwise very fine and fresh. A fantastic and famous cover with one of the largest recorded blocks on letter of all classic Chile issues. Unique. 5 c. red-brown, horizontal strip of 6, clear to mostly  large margins, tied to entire letter from “VALPARAISO 10 MAYO 56” (complete date inverted) to Cobija in Bolivia. A very fine and extremely rare letter to abroad with a choice strip. Certificate Holcombe (1993) (Scott 8)

5 c. red-brown, horizontal strip of four, the right stamp just touched at base, otherwise full to large margins with parts of four neighbour stamps, tied by target cancels to letter sheet with adjacent red “VALPARAISO 10 JULIO..” to Santiago.Very fine. (Scott 8)

1855, 2nd London Printing 5 c. red-brown on blued paper, horizontal strip of four with fresh colours, left adhesive cut in otherwise good to wide margins incl. portions of adjoining stamps at top and bottom, tied by six-bar target cancel to folded entire to Pisagua with adjacent red dispatch "SANTIAGO CHILE 31 AGTO 57", endorsed "Vapor Inglès" and charged "2" at top, reverse blue cds.; cover with usual aging and paper wrinkle at lower right, fine and rare franking

2. London print, 5 c. brown red, vertical pair, the lower stamp with full margins, together with 1856, 10 c. blue, diagonal bisect, tied by clear target cancels to entire letter with adjacent red “SANTIAGO 13 OTRE 57” to Valparaiso, very fine. London print, 5 c. brown red,together with 1856, 10 c. light  blue, the later one just touched in the upper right corner, otherwise both with full to large margins, tied by target cancels to entire letter with adjacent straight-line “BALLENAR” to Valparaiso, very fine. London print, 5 c. brown-red, two pairs and single stamp, the later one with full to large margins, in combination with 1856, 10 c. blue, single stamp and pair, the later one with full to very large margins, tied to undated lettersheet from “COPIAPO 5 OBRE) to Valparaiso.
