Wappen 3 Pfennig grün, 1 Neugroschen lebhaftlilarot und senkrechtes Paar 3 Neugroschen braunorange, alle farbfrisch und bis auf kleine transportbedingte Einschränkungen einwandfrei, einzeln sauber entwertet durch Hufeisenstempel vom letzten Tag der sächsischen Posthoheit "LEIPZIG No.1 31 12 67" auf Briefhülle über Triest nach Kairo; in Alexandria für das ägyptische Inlandsporto frankiert mit 1867, 1 Piaster rot, entwertet durch Einkreisstempel "POSTE VICE-REALI EGIZIANE ALESSANDRIA 11 GEN. 68". Das Porto setzt sich zusammen aus 3 Neugroschen Vereinsporto, 2 Neugroschen (= 10 Neukreuzer) österreichischem Seeporto Triest-Alexandria sowie 2 2/10 Neugroschen ägyptischem Inlandsporto. 1867, 1 pi. red, tied by black 'retta' as the Volos Consular Post Office datestamp had yet to be placed in use, to entire letter  from Volos to Trieste, dated inside '11/23 July 1870' (Gregorian resp. Julian calender), franked with Egypt  The cover travelled with the Khedivial Mail Line to Syros with frontside "SYROS 12 JULY 70", rated '25' lepta in blue crayon (equal to 10 kreuzer to be paid by the recipient) and was forwarded to the Austrian Lloyd express line from Constantinople to Triest.; on reverse Trieste arrival cds (July 28). An outstanding and unique entire - the Consular Office on Volos was announced to open on July 14, 1870, thus this cover was mailed on the second of the (weekly) services. Signed A. Diena, A. Bolaffi and Todd,  Certificate F. Zanetti (1999).

1866/1957, used collection with stamps and covers, presented within two large albums, a stockbook and a small file, comprising a study from Turkish Provinces through to modern commemorative issues, includes scarcer early usages such as 5 pi. rose used on 1866 cover from Cairo to Alexandria, a 2 pi. blue used on 1870 wrapper to Cairo, noted a very attractive registered 1879 envelope franked with a vertical pair of 1 pi. rose, also a selection of Austrian, French, British and Italian Foreign Post Offices in Egypt, strong assortment of Aerial Post/Air Mail, with Zeppelin covers, some express mail, postal stationery, censored mail and postage dues, many complete used sets; a reasonably comprehensive assembly in mostly fine condition.
