1850, Plate I, 1 p. reddish rose and 2p blue, plate I, retouched, both with large margins, tied by oval grids with adjacent red "PAID SHIP LETTER/SYDNEY/AP*19/1850" to letter sheet to Wellington, New Zealand, with frontside arrival mark of May 4th 1850. "4" d. incoming ship letter fee charged to the receipient. 2 d. with inconspicuous closed tear at upper left, otherwise very fine and rare. (Census 50/94)

Plate II, worn impression, 2 d. dull blue, good to large margins, tied to small envelope with adjacent "MIDDAY MAIL" 1850 to Raymond Terrace and re-directed to Newcastle. A scarce usage of the "MIDDAY MAIL" handstamp during the stamp period.
Plate II ,2 d. dull blue, retouched, good to large margins, tied by numeral "94" to letter sheet from "EDEN SE 23 1850" to Sydney. Very fine.
Plate III, 2 d. ultramarine, good to large margins, tied to entire letter from Edinburgh, Scotland, with clear "PAID AT EDINB. JUN 3 1850" to Sydney, here franked and forwarded to Carcoar. Very fine. A very rare and attractive incoming letter. (Census 50/259)

Bluish wove paper, 3 d. emerald green , in combination with 1851, laureate 2 d. ultramarine, both with good to large margins, tied by "36" in bars of Braidwood, to envelope via Sydney to England with "Sydney ship Ietter" and "Plymouth ship Ietter" on reverse. The franking paying the 5 d. rate (2 d. to Sydney + 3 d. ship ietter rate). A rare mixed issues-cover. Certificate RPSL (1948) and Holcombe (1988)
