Machine cancel "JEUX OLYMPIQUES/PARIS/MAI-JUIN-JUILLET/1924" in box. without c.d.s.-application, tying olympic issue 25 c. and 50 c. to commercial cover to Sweden. 50 c. with lower right corner somewhat rubbed, otherwise very fine. Very rare. The lot comes with an almost identical cover but with c.d.s. "PARIS GARE ST:LAZAIRE 16-6 24"

"STADE OLYMPIQUE 15 7 24" (several competitions including rowing), 2 good strikes on 10 c., 25 c., Pasteur 10 c. and Swiss vignette for the rowing team, on special Swiss postcard for the Olympic Games, used to Geneve. Fine and rare.

"VILLAGE-OLYMPIQUE 8-7 24" (3 finals in athletics), two good strikes on cover with Olympic issue 30 c. to Bois Colombe

"VILLAGE-OLYMPIQUE 12-7 24" (Polo final and 4 finals athletics), two clear strikes on Merson 45 c. on picture postcard of the opening ceremony, to Shanghai, China, with private arrival mark "SHANGHAI CLUB". Text from the Olympic village with several signatures of the Norwegian team including gold-medal winner Otto von Porat (boxing) and bronce-medal winners Sverre Sorsdal (boxing) and Sverre Hansen (long jump)

Olympic issue 1½ c.-30 c., tied by special cancellation of 10.6.28 (first day of football final) to registered express cover with manuscript register label "Amsterdam Stadion" to 'Kosmos newspaper service, Tokyo' and returned, with both arrival marks. Opened out for display and usual light transportation marks. Fine and very scarce.
