PROVISIONAL BISECT: 1928, Exchange Fee Stamp 10 k. on 250 r. violet, diagonal bisect, tied by official exchange office cachet to reverse of registered envelope to Vienna, correct 28 kopek franking on obverse tied by cds. "MOSCOW -6 X 28", alongside larger departure cds. "MOSCOW -7 10 28", reverse arrival receiver cds. "WIEN 66 -9. X. 28". Very fine, a very rare usage probably due to the shortage of 5 kopek exchange stamp in October 1928 in Moscow, certificate Leupold (2021)

1931, Exchange Fee Stamp 10 k. on 25 k. on 300 r. green, fresh colours, used with the Moscow Exchange Office handstamp, insignificant natural pinhole, fine, very scarce, certificate Leupold (2021)

Post office at Smyrna: 1882, Commercially used corner cover with blue "SAMIKON IGEMONIKON TACHYDROMEION EN SMYRNI" (Kosmidis type A2), prepaid, with boxed "PLIROMENON" (Kosmidis type A3), sent to Carlovassi, Samos, via "SAMIKON TACHYDROMEION EN L. VATHEOS 2.21.1882" (Samian P.O. at Vathy). Very rare. Signed Wenkums

1502, Royal mail signed by Ferdinand II King of Spain (1452-1516) and Queen Isabella I (1451-1504), entire lettersheet with complete papered Royal paper seal used by the Catholics Monarchs, some wear and soiling, otherwise fine. A very rare and important document.

1547, Kingsletter signed "Yo El Rey" (I the King) by Charles V King of Spain (1500-1558), entire lettersheet with complete papered Royal paper seal, a couple of unobstrusive toned spots, otherwise fine and very rare

1559,  Kingsletter signed "Yo El Rey" (I the King) by Phillip II King of Spain (1527-1598), letter of condolence to the Count of Buendia, dated inside, light traces of a red wax seal on the reverse of the lettersheet, fine and rare

1582, folded entire from Villadelprado in Madrid to Toledo, clearly dated twice inside, endorsed "con propio" and addressed to a member of the tribunal of the inquisition "consultor del Santo Oficio a San Cristobal"; very fine and extremely scarce item

1674, Folded entire from Cadix to London, almost intact red wax seal on reverse, with adjacent Bishop mark "DE 24" applied on arrival; very fine, an attractive early entire

"AFRICA", fair strike in red and accounting black handstamp "B29" (Catalonian dinero) on an entire lettersheet with full content to Palafrugell, Catalona, dated inside "Oran, Julio 18 del 1775".  A fine and delightful entire graced with a very rare origin

1790 (ca.), Folded entire from Cadiz to Lima, Peru, endorsed in manuscript "Por la Coruña, Buen. Ayres, Aviso", struck on departure with red straightline handstamp "CADIZ" and Coruña transit "ESPAÑA"; a few trivial worm holes on the back only, otherwise very fine and fresh. A very rare entire with the "Aviso" annotation, refering to the transportation via an advice boat

"DAROCA ARAGON", almost complete Crowned Circular handstamp on entire lettersheet addressed "au citoyen Marbot négociant" in France, adjacent receiving handstamp "64 OLERON", fully dated inside "16 mars 1796"; fine mail, the combination of a very rare postmark and an unusal destination (G&T-Nr. 2)

"ANDALUCIA BAXA", very fair strike in red on an undated folded entire (part missing) sent to Justice Burgo de Osma, endorsed "Por El Rey" (By The King) at the top; fine and scarce postmark from Granada

1850, 6 c. black, Type II, fresh colour and good to large balanced margins, tied by neat black araña handstamp to folded entire to Cadiz, red cds. "BARCELONA CATALONA 4 MARZ 1850" departure alongside, endorsed in manuscript "Vapor Mercurio". Very fine, an exceptionally rare steamship usage of the first issue of Spain
