1863/65, 20 pa., reconstructed block reports, normal and inverted, with all 12 character types. Shades ranging from brick red to brown, except one used value all unused

1pi brown on thin paper, tete-beche pair, without control band, ample to large margins on all sides, unused, with part original gum, light wrinkles typical of this delicate paper, top stamp with light horizontal crease, else fine, scarce. (Isf 16 TB02)

2pi black on red-brown, vertical foot to foot tete-beche pair, unused, with part original gum, blue control bands, large balanced margins, an attractive and scarce pair, very fine, ex “Sultan.” (Isf 9 TB01)

1863, Tughra, Postage Due, Second Printing on thin paper, 5pi black on brick red, horizontal strip of six, large margins on all sides, control band at foot,  tied to piece by black dot & line cancel, a few small edge imperfections and red ink mark on left-most stamp, a most impressive and rare multiple, ex Bombieri, Bosford, Alanyali, “Sultan”. 1865, Star & Crescent (Duloz) Type, 10pa brown Postage Due, Type I, large part original gum, rich colour, a fine and scarce example of this unissued stamp, with 2010 IFSILA certificate and photocopy of Arikan certificate. (Isf 29)

1867, Star & Crescent (Duloz), Postage Due, 25pi light brown, unused, with part original gum, hinge remnant, well-centered for these challenging issues, deep colour, one of the finest known examples of this rare unissued stamp, of which fewer than ten are recorded; with 1960 RPSL and 2010 ISFILA certificates. 1931 (23 October), Second Balkan Conference, special event c.d.s. in blue ties 4 k rose-carmine commemorative to cover from Istanbul to Galata, with next-day c.d.s. arrival backstamp, very fine.

1934 (September 30), Interparliamentary Union, 30th Conference, Istanbul, commemorative c.d.s. tying 1 k olive and 2 k violet pair Ataturk issues, to Galata, reverse with c.d.s. arrival backstamp (1 Oct), small stain to pair, else fine.

1858, Admirality 3 piaster rose carmine, large margins and good, with adjacent boxed "P.P." with anchor, on cover front to Brusa. Very fine and rare. Signed Alberto Diena with certificate (1972) and Giulio Bolaffi with certificate (1972)
