Vendome ist im Begriff Barcelona zu erobern, hat aber nur noch für wenige Tage Proviant und bittet dringend um eine Lieferung. Barcelona fiel am 10. August 1697.

Die Marke mit kleinem Randriss und der Umschlag mit kleinen Alterungsspuren und rückseitig wurden die Lacksiegel entfernt, sonst in guter Gesamterhaltung. Dekorative und seltene Frankatur, in Kombination mit der R-Zettel-Variante und den R-Stempeln sind nur wenige Belege bekannt, Fotoattest Brugger BPP (2008)
