1884/1965 (ca.), Postage dues and Underfranked Mail, unused and used collection with about 100 covers, better items and complete sets like Mi.-Nr. P1-5, P6-9, P10-14 all unused, together with a fine selection of early proofs in black, rose-carmine and green(8), the collection is also filled with a charming selection of incoming and outgoing underfranked mail, together with a few more modern ship mail postcards to Germany. Some occasional faults in the early issues, otherwise in very good overall condition, an interesting assembly in four albums
1927/59 (ca.), Egyptian Airmail collection with over 85 covers, strength before the 1940s, starting with the 1910 Heliopolis Air Meeting perforated vignette in black/red/yellow unused, the collection follows with an abundance of First Flight covers with many better items like 1931 First Flight Africa-England(4), 1931 Premier Vol Louxor-Mwanza, 1929 Egypt-Crete and 1932 Egypt-Transval by Imperial Airways, a very rare set of eight covers each with blue oval cachet “First Flight Egypt-South-America By Imperial Airways and Berlin-Buenos Aires Airline 4th June 1935”, most “retour” or “rebut” or “return to sender”, scarce 1933 First Flight Cairo-Singapore with Straits Settlements 30 c. applied on arrival, 1940 Eastern horseshoe route from Cairo via Australia and San Francisco, together with some incoming airmail from Germany with Zeppelin LZ 127 Orientfahrt 1929, Zeppelin LZ 127 1931 Return Flight with special cancellations from Port Said(2), Alexandrie(3), Caire(2), etc. Mixed condition with some occasional toning, overall fine, neatly mounted and expertly described on exhibition pages, in 3 albums
1752/91, Saint Domingue, group of five folded entires addressed to France, noted 1752 from “Lille a Vache” to Marseille with a fair strike of the single-line handstamp “DELAFLOTTE”, 1757 Leogane to Toulon, 1791 Cavaillon to Bordeaux with circular “COLONIES PAR BORDEAUX”, etc., some occasional toning, mostly in good condition. An unusual assembly from the Pearl of the Antilles
