A lovely and most unusual usage via the Brindisi route, certificate Scheller (2025)

1917, 35 on 35C. violet horizontal pair in mixed franking with Protectorate 5 C. green, horizontal pair and two single stamps as well as two single values 1917 architectural monuments 10C. red, tied by cds. “TRESOR ET POSTE KASBA TADLA 5 12 22” to decorative pre-printed registered cover to Warsaw, Poland, one value of the franking faulty, slight traces of transportation, otherwise good condition, a scarce destination

1902 (April 3), French Officer's letter from Algeria to Paris, endorsed in manuscript “Troupes d'occupation des oasis Sahariennes,” struck with fine Taghit double-circle c.d.s., with corresponding Taghit garrison handstamp at left, revers with Paris c.d.s. receiver and remarkably intact red wax seal, a choice example of military mail from this Oasis town.

(11 Jul), manuscript “4” (pence) in red crayon for the journey to St. Thomas, endorsed “Per U.S. & Brazil Mail Str via St. Thomas”, the United States portion unpaid and thus struck with crisp “N.Y. STEAMSHIP / 10” entry mark (21 Jul). An unusual and important entire conveyed from the French P.O. in Guadeloupe by the British Agency through the USBMSC via St. Thomas. Signed Scheller

1852, Papal coat of arms ½ black on violet-gray, horizontal strip of four, fresh color, touched in places, tied by grill to folded lettersheet with adjacent cds. “TERRACINA 2 GUI 67” and cachet of the papal delegation of Velletri, to Maenza, attractive entire, signed Vespermann BPP with certificate and certificate A. 1852, 1 s. rose carmine, ample or better margins all around, centrally-struck with black lozenge grid cancel, some light uniform soiling, but a very fine centered example. (Michel 11)

1867, Papal coat of arms on glossy paper 2 c. on green, horizontal strip of five with gutter between 3rd. and 4th stamp (separating group III and IV), fresh color and good margins all around, tied by cds. “TOSCANELLA 12 AGO 68” to folded letter to Vetralla, left stamp minor corner crease, otherwise a very fine and rare entire, with only three gutter pairs on cover known, a.o. signed E. 1867, 5 c. greenish blue, “interspazio” horizontal pair, tied to 1868 folded cover to Montaldo di Castro by mute segmented lozenge of the Rome-Ceprano railway, with corresponding c.d.s. (3 Aug) on reverse, further backstamped with framed “Genazzano” and partial c.d.s., right stamp with light crease, heavily horizontal file hold, but a rare franking, signed Maurizio Raybaudi-Massilia and others, with 2005 Bottacchi certificate.
