Feldpost-Correspondenz-Klappkarte mit 25 H.-Frankatur (re. etwas beschädigt) von Plevlje (heute Montenegro) nach Augsburg mit vs. Ankunftsstpl. vom 2.9., weiters eine 20 Para-Marke Türkei (links oben Riß), die bei dem türkischen Postamt mit dem Stempel ´Tachlidja´ entwertet wurde, inseitig Abbildung verschiedener türkischer Militärs sowie eines betenden Hodza und eines Albanesen, eine sehr außergewöhnliche Frankaturkombination und sehr dekorativ!

Turkish and German censors together on cover from Bukarest are extremely scarce, in PROFI archive is only one other such combination on postal stationery recorded

1892, "AB POSTA SUBESI" (“IBB” Isfila & Coles Walker unrecorded type) blue all arabic cancellation on 20 Para dull violet block of four, paper remain on reverse, short perfs and minor faults, a great rarity of Jemen & Turkey postal history, showpiece!

1915, US 2 c. red postal stationery envelope used uprated and registered from "CHATHAM N.J. SEP/2/1915" addressed to American Mission in "Adana Syria", transit New York "Sep/29/1915", redirected via "BEYROUTH 5 - 16/11/15" and "Istanbul 7/12/15", retour to US with several arrival marks in January 1916. At left unrecorded censor label "BEYRUT POSTAHANESI" (Beyrouth Post Office), crescent and star military censor mark "BEYRUT ASKERI SANSÜR HEYETI" and turkish ms. "iyade" (retour) and "Amerikaya" (to US) on front. A unique censor cover and showpiece for a Lebanon and Turkey postal history collection

“BASRA” (Coles & Walker no.43, RRR*) cancellation on 1876 cover with 20 Para green / violet to Kermanchah / Irak with arrival mark on reverse, shortened on top and corner flaw, this cancellation is unknown on cover at Isfila, great rarity of Turkey & Iraq postal history 

“KERYE BACHI (BAGDAD)” Turkish cancellation (Isf. no.2) on telegram form.  A scarce ottoman forerunner, very clear cancelled

“KIAZIMIE 23/9/07” c.d.s. (Coles-Walker no.31) on 1908 cover with 1 Pia. blue to Teheran with arrival mark, fine and very clear Iraq forerunner

1917, Rehonoth / Jaffa postcard (rounded corners) cancelled by all arabic violet fieldpost mark "DÖRDÜNCÜ ORDU KARARGAHI KUMANDANLIGI" (Fourth Army Headquarters Command), oval all arabic censor mark "MUAYENE OLUNMUSDUR" alongside, adressed to Dersaadet, some faults and corner flaw, scarce Palestine postal history

1915, YAFA SANSÜR OLUNMUSDUR extremely fine strike of Jaffa Star and Crescent censor h.s. in violet (CM3 type, unlisted in Collins) on cover bearing 1914 10 pa. green and 20 pa. brown cancelled by octagonal “Jaffa/5” d.s. (Steichele = 22/17 + 22/32). Addressed to Clerc at department of accountancy Jerusalem with arrival mark 28/9/331 (1915) some crease and faults, backflap missing. PROFI archive has only two other covers recorded, this censorship was only used for domestic mail. 

1910, "DERNAH 18.12.910" c.d.s. on commercial imprint envelope with rare single franking 20 pa. red, to Tripoli with arrival mark, few tiny spots and light border crease, otherwise fine, scarce Turkey forerunner

1891, Coat of arms issue 1 pi. blue, tied by double circle all arabic "MEDINE-I MÜNEVERE" handstamp in black (Coles & Walker fig. 28+29) to envelope to Der-Aliye (Istanbul) with arrival mark on reverse, stamp cut out and replaced (as often seen at this corrospondonce), tiny crease, otherwise fine. A very scarce Saudi Arabia forerunner

1930 (Sept 2):, 'American Legion Convention / International Flight' card franked by Washington 2 c. red tied by Boston slogan cancel, mailed on the Russell Boardman / John Polando flight that was delayed, initially for nearly a year, with eventual acceptance datestamp on reverse of ISTANBUL in black (July 30, 1931). The card is signed by the Pilot, Russell Boardman, on reverse, the ´Cape Cod´ flew direct from New York to Istanbul / Turkey in a flying time of 50 hours and 8 minutes for the 5´011 mile journey. Extremely rare flight from both the American and Turkish point of view. (Muller #343 = 20´000 pts)
