1879, 25 c. black on red rose tied to envelope by CONSTANTINOPLE GALATA 29/OCT/79, bilingual cds., adressed to Aleppo, on reverse french blue transit mark ALEXANDRETTE SYRIA. Turkey 20 para green and 1 piastre yellow 1876 issue tied by all arabic POSTAHANE-I HALEP 1278 (with crescent, A&P #3) on reverse, tiny crease, fine and attractive, vertificate du Vachat (2010).

1918, 5 st. postal stationery card Bulgaria used during occupation of Romania, cancelled SILISTRA 8.4.18, blue german censor mark ‘GEPRÜFT 12.4.18 Postüberwachungsstelle’, black “T” in circle for taxe and blue crayon “10” alongside, addressed at first in latin script than in ottoman to ‘Braila 6th turkish army 15th unit’, so that we can assume that it was transported by the Turkish field post. Text complete written in old ottoman script by a Turkish officer, vertical fold and border faults, otherwise fine. An extremely scarce item of occupation period with turkish and german fieldpost and of great interest to the postal history of Bulgaria, Romania, Germany and Turkey 

Interparliamentary Union, 30th Conference 1934, Istanbul, commemorative c.d.s. tying 1 k. olive pair and 2 k. violet Ataturk issues, to Galata, reverse with c.d.s. arrival backstamp (1 Oct), small stain to pair, else fine, (Isfila catalogue value 1.350€)

1905, Jaffa – Jerusalem Railway: Turkey 10 para green tied by very rare bilingual “Bur.Amb. Jaffa-Jerusalem 1”, without date segment, blue handstamp (Steichele 53/05) to postcard sent from Bethlehem to Prague, alongside arrival cds., fine.

1908, Jaffa – Jerusalem Railway: Turkey 20 para rose-carmine tied by very rare bilingual “Jaffa-Jerusalem 6/4/908” cds., (Steichele RP7) to postcard sent from Jerusalem to Rastatt, alongside arrival cds. 14/4/08, fine.

1909, ‘MECQUE 6’ bilingual cancellation (Coles-Walker no.39, Uexkull Type 1) on cover Mecca to Istanbul, franked on the reverse with 1908 issue 1 pia., “Istanbul Mevrude” arrival postmark alongside, sender cachet ‘Ismail Aloff’, very fine and well cancelled exhibition piece

1858, Folded tissue-paper envelope bootlegged from Smyrna, Turkey to Boston, carried by Capt. Watson ‘Ship Henry Hill’ with 122 bales madder roots, ms. “Via Trieste” inside, letter with embossing and black sender cachet F.C. Blackler Smyrna on reverse. At arrival in US Franklin 1 c. blue type V tied by black “PAID” in circle to envelope and red “Boston Mass. Nov/12” arrival cds. on front. Tiny file fold, otherwise Very Fine and a scarce usage.

1848/1916, 23 envelopes & cards including lost territories of Ottoman Empire, good cancellations, Pirlepe, Cerkes, Ayvalik, Hania, Camaran Jemen, Telegram receipt Jerusalem and Kerkuk, Remle, Jaffa and Bethlehem, some different.

1871/1945, Armenians in Turkey: 20 covers, postcards and documents from Ottoman Empire to Republic with armenian imprints, senders and addresses, monastery document Samsun 1908, two nice postcards armenian village and Ararat, some faults and missing or added stamps, but an interesting collection for collectors with an interest in history.

1870/1918, Postal History of Ottoman Iraq including four covers with cancellations of Kerbela, Bagdad and Nedjef Echref, on stamps Kerkuk, Remadie, Kizlar Bad, Süleymaniye, Hanekin, Hille and Mosul.

1856/1918, Postal History of Ottoman Syria (7), including prefilatelic cover Alep, Tatar post document with cancellations of Damas and Beyrouth, postcard 1890 from Aleppo via Alexandrette and Port-Said via french ship to France, censor marks of Aleppo and Damas,
