Monofatsi 1898: 1 P.T. Union Jack dated 9.12.98, together with the handstamp "International Occupation, Governor MONOFATSI", both in blue and signed by the Governor, philatelic envelope franked with 1pi/10kr Austrian Levant upon transit from "CANDIA Oesterreichische Post 12.12.98", sent to "SMYRNA Oesterreichische Post". The Austrian Levant P.O. of Candia was in charge of the British soldiers mail during the early period. Part missing from the backside, but very desirable
