DENMARK-DUTCH INDIES, 1851, Entire double rate letter from "KJØBENHAVN 16 6 1851" to Battavia with transit marks of Hamburg, German railway, Trieste and the Austrian and British PO at Alexandria on front and reverse. The letter was prepaid till Singapore with "237" Rigsbankskilling; at Alexandria marked with "2/-" for the conveyance to Singapore. In Battavia 120 duiten were charged to the recipient, noted on reverse. A rare and early letter from Denmark via Trieste to the Dutch Indies, supposed to be unique.
