"TRINIDAD AP 24 1874" to envelope with adjacent red "TRINIDAD PAID" to Valparaiso, Chile (adressed to Admiral Arthur Cochrane, on board the HMS Repulse), endorsed "Via Panama" and showing on reverse clear transit mark of St. Thomas; on front red crayon marks "8", "2/1" and "2/-"; a rare and colourful franking Provenance: Sir John Marriott (2001)
