Higletts, George Allen, Satirical pamphlets and leaflets, published privately 1912 to 1936, cpl. set of all 43 leaflets plus the booklets about Colombain and Turkey postmarks, in good condition; Higlett illustrated his humorous and sometimes critical satiric texts with genuine stamps and essays, which sometimes led to problems when he was not able to gather enough examples for his complete edition, so some essays were issued in a very small number only (the cat. value of the stamps and essays is ca. £ 2,500); the complete run with satiric texts, poetry etc. enhances of course also the the first two leaflets publicated in 1912 of which there only 30 copies of each were produced as well as the "And Revenue" of which there can be only 12 examples due to a copyright problem; some booklets have been signed or have signed insriptions; very few other complete sets of Higletts works besides that offered here are known, extremely rare, very interesting offer and gem of every philatelic bibliotheque; accompanied by the bibliography by Gavin Fryer (1997)
