1897, red revenue 2c. on 3 c., tied by clear brownish black "CUSTOMS SHANGHAI MAY 15 1897" to small envelope to Canton, endorsed "Pr. first steamer"; on reverse clear oval arrival mark "IMPERIAL POST OFFICE CANTON / 22 MAY 1897"; the stamp shows a faint impression of a violett oval rubber handstamp, most likely a security marking; some minor toning in few perfs, otherwise extremely fine; a very attractive and rare cover, never been on the market before
