6 d. greenish grey, just touched in the outer frame line at upper left, otherwise good to wide margins, together with 10 d. blue, more or less cut to shape, both tied by black target to registered triple-rate envelope with adjacent red "TORONTO C.W. Paid MAR 28 1857" to Colmar in France; adjacent red "PAID", red "PD" and Canadian, British and French register marks, incorrect manuscript tax "6" cancelled, small part of reverse flap missing, otherwise very fine. According to the new Anglo-French Treaty from 1.1.1857 the letter is fully paid with 45 d. including registration fee of 6 d., but only 16 d. in stamps, remaining 29 d. in cash.
