½ d. deep rose, 2 singles, both touched at one side in the outer frame line (one only short), otherwise clear to mostly very wide margins, one with part of adjoining stamp, together with 3 d. red with clear to large margins, also on horizontally ribbed paper, tied by square grid numeral "16" with adjacent cds. "HAMILTON MR 26 1858" to registered envelope to Eastwood with Woodstock transit and arrival mark on reverse; the envelope with slight waterstaining at lower right, otherwise fine; an extremely rare franking, one of only two known covers with both exisiting values on ribbed paper Provenance: Louise Boyd Dale and Alfred F.
