Lot no. 1457

1915/18, lot of 12 covers and postcards sent from French prisoners of war in Bulgaria. Four show Bulgarian cachet "Prisonnier de Guerre" to assure free postage, all were censored either in Sofia or Plovdiv. The majority directed to France, another one to Switzerland. A very rare example is a postcard sent with Bulgaria from one POW in Sofia to another French POW in Tatar Pazadijk. A very nice lot of postal history from different camps like Plovdiv, Radomir, Sofia, Tatar Pazadijk and Yakoruda
