1859, 1 s. purple-slate with perforations on 2 sides, in combination with 1 d. rose-red in horizontal pair, pin-perf. 13½-14, tied by "1" with adjacent crowned circle "PAID AT TRINIDAD" on yellow envelope to Michelstadt in Germany with French transit mark on front and German transit and arrival marks on reverse. The entire is rated in front "1/1" in red crayon and further (German) markin in blue crayon; the left 1 d. light bend, otherwise fine and fresh. A very scarce and attractive letter with a most unusual destination. Certificate RPS (1932)

Combination cover addressed to the Maharaja of Danta franked with 1877 ¼a ultramarine tied by native square strike also bearing QV ½a blue-green tied by "ULWUR CITY / 13 FE 97" cds and "MAROTH / MARWAR / B.O. / FE 14 / 97" cds. Combination covers from Alwar to destinations outside of Alwar are rare. An attractive cover addressed to the King of Danta.
