AUSTRIA - CEYLON: 1866, adress lable or cover front with pre-printed adress from Vienna to Galle, franked with 1864, 10 kr. blue and single stamp and strip of four 15 kr. brown, tied by clear "WIEN 2/2". At Alexandria franked with 1 sh. green for the conveyance to Ceylon, tied by "B01" with adjacent "ALEXANDRIA FE 10 66". The lable/front has been mounted on paper, usual smal transportation marks, otherwise fine and fresh. The only recorded item from the German-Austrian-Postal Union to Ceylon with combination franking of Alexandria. Certificate Dr. Ferchenbauer (2010)

1866, Adresszettel oder Briefvorderseite mit vorgedruckter Adresse von Wien nach Galle, frankiert mit 1864, 10 Kr. blau sowie Einzelmarke und Viererstreifen 15 Kr. braun, mit klarem "WIEN 2/2". In Alexandria zusätzlich frankiert mit 1 Sh. grün für die Beförderung nach Ceylon, entwertet durch "B01" mit nebengesetztem "ALEXANDRIA FE 10 66". Die Vorderseite/Zettel wurde auf Papier aufgeklebt, übliche kleine Transportspuren, sonst gute und frische Erhaltung. Dies ist der einzige Beleg aus dem Deutsch-Österreichischen-Postverein nach Ceylon mit Kombinationsfrankatur von Alexandria. Fotoattest Dr. Ferchenbauer (2010)
