1850, 6 cs. black, good to large margins, tied by 'spider' to entire letter with adjacent "TOLOSA 1 ENER 1851" to a member of Parliament at Madrid. Since the stamp was only valid until the day before (31.12.1850) the letter was taxed with "1R" despite the prominent recipient. A very fine and rare letter. Certificate Grauss AIEP (2012)

Special rate of 18 cuartos up to a weight of 3 ounces. A very rare letter.
