1651/1910 (ca.), specialized collection in two albums with unused and used stamps and sets and over 50 covers and cards, starting with large Hermes Heads used at Crete; some interesting items such as incoming mail, registered mail, cancellation collection, very scarce group of the 1905 Therison Rebellion issues, including several covers, etc. In addition some unused postcards and duplicates and some literature. Overall condition fine to very fine. An attractive and interesting collection.
1900/12, specialised postal history collection with over 60 covers and cards, with Cretan First issue, wide range of frankings and rates throughout, better items such as Prince George 10l. tied by scarce cds. "KASTELLI 10 JAN. 1904" to a postal receipt for a registered letter, further strike alongside, some postage dues overprint varieties, dotted rural markings such as "6" VOUKOLIES, etc.; some aging and wear noted, otherwise overall condition is fine, a noteworthy assembly
AUSTRIAN POSTAL AGENCIES: 1845/89, ten folded entires, envelope and postal stationery card, incl. 1845 folded entire to Trieste with two lines handstamp "CANEA 21: LU." and disinfection slits; seven covers with Austrian adhesives including some mixed frankings with Greece Large Hermes, such as 10sld. blue tied by two lines "CANEA 2 OTT" on front of a folded entire to PIREUS, alongside Greece 20l. blue tied on arrival as postage due; condition varies from poor to very fine
AUSTRIAN LEVANT: 1896/10, group of nine covers and cards, as well as some fragments, including 25c. blue tied by cds. "RETTIMO" to reverse of an envelope to Constantinople, 5c., 10c., 15c., 25c. and 50c. tied by cds. "CANEA" to a registered envelope to München, also 10p. (8) and 1pia. (2) tied by cds. "CANDIA OESTERREICHISCHE POST 27 V 99" on a registered cover to Germany (opened for display), fine to very fine

OTTOMAN EMPIRE OFFICES: 1880/98 (ca), collection of used stamps and postmarks, incl. more than ten franked covers, starting with 1880s Ottoman adhesives tied on three envelopes by hexagonal postmarks "KANDIA" and "HANIA", also single and multiple frankings tied by bilingual cds. "HANIA", "RETHYMO"; some stampless mail including a scarce negative seal "HANIA", faint, on an official letter; overall condition fine to very fine
RUSSIAN POST OFFICES: 1899 used and unused specialised collection of over 60 stamps and some covers, with Mi. 4 large block of 36 (some folds and tears), unused, better items such as Mi. 2 and Mi 4 (2) tied by straightline "RETHYMNO" on an envelope (tear at left not affecting the adhesive), later issues with Mi. 8 sheetlet of sixteen, struck with cds. "RETHYMNO 8 6 99"; overall condition is fine to very fine, scarce group

1899, 1m. rose (2) with fresh colours and sharp printing with RETHYMNO handstamp, 1m. green (5) one sheet margin single and a fresh mint never hinged bloc of four (ex Schmidt), 2m. black (20) with a fine selection of shades and papers, including a pair and four blocs (one creased), as well as a used on small fragment; overall very fine quality and assembly from those stamps issued during the Russian occupation of Creta (Mi.-Nr 2, 3, 4)
