5 c. deep reddish-brown, nice deep colour and ample to good margins, tied by clear target to entire letter, endorsed 'por Vapor',with adjacend red “SANTIAGO 29 SERE 55” to Bordeaux, France. The franking paying the internal postage to Valparaiso, thence via PSNC Steamer to Panama with double line “PANAMA  TRANSIT” in red. On reverse  London and french transit marks.
