"PAID AT SAN JUAN PORTO RICO", fair strike on lettersheet to Rivadeo, franked with Spanish West Indies 1857 ½ r. blue, tied by oval ´parilla` with adjacent blue "ADMON GRAL. PUERTORICO 14 DIC 57", handed over to the British PO with cds. "SAN-JUAN-PORTO-RICO DE 14 1857" on reverse, red circle "PD" applied by mistake, cancelled by fingerprint and corrected with red "PP", transit and arrival cds.; a fine, scarce and unusal cover
1841, entire letter from Calcutta to Bordeaux, showing on reverse framed red "STEAM POSTAGE/INLAND Do./TOTAL" with manuscript "9-14- 1/7"
FEZ – MEQUINES: 1897, 5 C. und 10 C., mit sauber auf- und nebengesetztem DKr. "MEQUINEZ MAROC 12 MAI 98", in Mischfrankatur mit Gibraltar 10 C., mit Balkenstempel und übergehendem EKr. "FES 19 MY 98", auf Briefkuvert nach Tanger, mit Ankunftsstempel der britischen Post. Leicht unfrisch, sonst gute Erhaltung. Sehr selten. (Maury L1-2)
"Defense du Tanganika * Etat VU POUR LA CENSURE" violet two-line censor mark on Belgian-Congo picture postal stationery 5c. from "KABALO 7-9 1916" to London, small corner crease, otherwise fine
1794/1867, interesting group of 11 covers from or to Constantinople, some carried by NDL, many transit postmarks, including 1794 folding cover from Constantinople to Erfurt from the Peter de Thier correspondence, 1837 disinfection cancellation "NETTO DI FUORA ET DI DENTRO", etc.; mostly in very good overall condition.
1889/1904, collection of 14 covers and cards, incl. British Zanzibar, some better items like Indian wrapper used with cds. "ZANZIBAR 22 AP. 96", French maritime lines transit postmarks (Salles 2.308/2), incoming mail, better destinations like German East Africa and Japan, etc.; mostly fine to very fine
1915/23, an interesting group of 30 cards and covers, containing postal stationery, registered covers, censor marks etc., mostly good condition
1914/41, interesting lot of over 90 letters and cards, including a large group of subsequent issues, a large number of good postage paid items, including some interesting mixed frankings, registered mail, censorship, postal stationary, many different cancellations, four letters "On Active Service - Stamps Unavailable" etc., mostly good condition
