PUERTO RICO: 1870: Line-Engraved 1½ pence rose, plate 3, in combination with Surface-Printed 1877, 4 pence sage-green, plate 15, horizontal strip of three, all fresh colour and fine perforations, tied by British Post Office in Puerto Rico upright barred oval “F85” to an entire, sent to Genoa, Italy, endorsed “via England”, with transit cds in red “LONDON PAID 18 JU 79". Reverse, arrival "GENOVA 30 6 79” cds. Slight climatic discolouration as is usual. A fine and scarce franking.
