1874: Surface Printed 6 pence grey, plate 14, Spray wmk., perf. 14, a horizontal pair and single, in combination with USA 1875, Taylor 5 cents blue, strip of three, all of good colour and perforations mainly fine, the former tied by British Post Office in Panama barred oval “C35”, the latter by a cds “N.YORK STEAMSHIP FEB 5”, to the reverse of a United States Consulate envelope sent to Georgia, USA. Front, endorsed “Callao Jan 5th 1876” and bearing transit cds “PANAMA JA 18 75” alongside a further strike of the “N.YORK STEAMSHIP FEB 5”. Some imperfection. Rare combination and uncommon triple rate letter.
