4 d. dull rose, good deep colour, outer frame lines partly slightly touched and tiny nick at top, together with 5 d. chestnut with clear to good margins, tied by oval of bars and additional manuscript "Stamped" to letter sheet, backstamped "COLOMBOÂ POST-PAIDÂ JA 17 1860" to Bristol with arrival mark; filing creases not affecting the stamps. A valuable and attractive colour franking with the rare 4 d. stamp, certificate RPS (1994). Provenance: Joseph Hackmey (2010)
