1872: Cover from Paris to Yedo, Japan (Captain Lebon correspondence) franked by 1871 Cérès 25 c. blue in a block of four tied by Paris Star '15' with despatch cds (May 24) alongside. Framed 'P.P.' in red at left. Reverse with partial missing flap and part of Bau Francais arrival datestamp. Pencil graffiti removed from front of cover but a scarce usage and destination.
