In the spring of 1918, the ship was taken over by the German Navy as an auxiliary warship and operated as a transporter for the Caucasus company on behalf of the "Mediterranean Division" under its old name "Corcovado". The ports of departure were Constantinople, Odessa and Sevastopol.
