The ERIVAN Sales – Bibliophile Edition
In which auction was the Pony Express cover to Abraham Lincoln sold? How many tête-bêche blocks of the One Kreuzer Black were offered? What price did the Greifensee cover fetch in Switzerland again?
The complete record of the most comprehensive single-owner sale of our time
Over the past five years, we had the honour of finding new owners for the philatelic gems from the ERIVAN Collection. Through 35 auctions, featuring exciting stamps and postal history, record-breaking hammer prices were realised, and philatelic history was made. Ultimately, the sensational ERIVAN Collection was dispersed, its treasures now with new owners, housed in exceptional collections around the world. Many of you were part of the intense bidding competition: in the auction room, on the phone or via live online bidding.
But with 7,000 lots in the auctions, across a total of 4,300 catalogue pages, it is challenging to keep track of every item – even for us.
Get this amazing reference work now!
To ensure that the legacy of the ERIVAN Collection is preserved, we have created an exclusive record of this sensational collection, featuring world rarities as well as those of the German States, Confederate and United States of America, Austria & Lombardy-Venetia, Swiss Cantonal and Federal stamps, and Zeppelin Mail. The record of five years of philatelic auction history – split up by collecting area, re-sorted – including prices realised for all lots.
