1864, Vittorio Emanuele II pair 30 c. brown on cover Taranto to London via France, paying the 60 c. single rate by the French route, both tied by crisp “TARANTO / 22 OTT 64” cds., with two boxed “P.D.” strikes and a red circular “LONDON / PAID / OC 26 64” exchange marking on face, reverse with indistinct backstamps, light edge wear only, otherwise fine and attractive.
