Prince Albert 6 pence greenish grey, block of four with wide margins all around, nice fresh colour, unused with original gum, some gum creasing with tiny tear at bottom right stamp and separation cut between stamps at right, otherwise very fine and extremely fresh condition; a major rarity of Canada and British North Aamerican philately, illustrated in colour in Robson Lowe Volume V. Victoria 12 pence black, large to enormous margins all around with small lower sheet margin, cancelled by target in black, leaving the face free; some tiny holes at top right due to small thinning, but almost invisible and not disturbing the overall impression; a marvellous copy of this rarity, certificate BPA (1971)

Victoria 12 pence black, good to large even margins all around and very fine fresh colour, tied by clear target to lettersheet (address cut out and new paper filled in) with adjacent red dispatch mark "MONTREAL AP 14 1853", curved "CANADA" and "PAID"; one of the finest examples of this rarity, of which only about 12 entires are known, certificates BPA (1950 and 1969) and W. Jakubek (1973)
1857, machine-made paper: 1/2 pence deep rose, wonderful fresh colour and large even margins, unused o.g., extremely fine and choice example.

1/2 pence deep rose, horizontal strip of five and single stamp, touched in places, but mostly good margins, tied by numeral "41" of SANDWICH to piece, some light creasing; the stamps have been removed from piece for inspection; a fine and rare strip, certificate BPA
Cartier 10 pence bright blue, horizontal strip of three, good to wide margins all around and nice colour, tied by Hamilton date stamp and red "PKT. LETTER PAID LIVERPOOL OC 2 58" to large piece; the strip had been lifted, interior repair to central stamp, still fine and attractive; a rarity !
1859, perforated issue 5 cents deep red, imperforate block of four from the left sheet margin with large part of imprint "American Bank Note Co."; unused with part o.g., the left pair large repair at back and tiny thin in margin at right, nevertheless a rare block, certificate BPA

1851, 3 pence dull red, diagonally bisected with 6 pence olive-yellow, margins somewhat touched, tied by grid to letter sheet from "ST. JOHN NEW BRUNSWICK MY 30 1859" to Hull, showing on reverse arrival mark of 13.6., fine and scarce, certificate BPA
6 pence olive-yellow, full to wide margins all around, in combination franking with Nova Scotia 1859/60, 3 pence blue in horizontal pair, tied by grid cancel to "Money letter" (3 side flaps missing) with red "Registered No. ..." from "ST. JOHN NEW BRUNSWICK AP 30 1856" to Halifax Arrival mark of May 3rd; some faint cover creases, one vertically through the center of the pair; the lower right corner of the front has been added and one 3 pence with small repair, nevertheless a very attractive and extremely rare mixed franking, certificate Wolfgang Jakubek (1973) and BPA

JOHNS DC 8 1858" to Baltimore with "NEW-YORK SHIP 5 cts. DEC 31" on front; despite faults a very rare and attractive cover. certificate BPA

1860, 1 shilling orange-vermilion bisected, left half with full to wide marigins, tied by 2 strikes of grid cancel to piece with adjacent red date stamp "ST. JOHN'S SP 10 1861" and London date stamp of September 30. The stamp has been lifted for inspection and replaced; very fine and extremely rare, only one other bisect of this stamp (on cover) is known, certificates BPA (1969) and W. Jakubek

1933, Balbo flight 4,50 dollar on 75 cents., tied by cds. "ST. JOHN'S 26 JUL 33" to the US via Rome with special flight cachet on front and several transit and arrival marks on reverse, very fine
1851/60, 1 pence red-brown, full to mostly wide margins and of fresh colour, lightly cancelled, leaving the queen's bust completely free, very fine
