Russia Levant pair 3 Kop. green cancelled by “782” in rhomboid of dots in black and showing on reverse transit mark “Ropit Aleksandretti 22/OCT” d.s. in blue, usual file folds and tiny crease, fine and a scarce mix usage, certificate TOPS
ALEPPO / ALEXANDRETTA / SMYRNA : 1872 folded envelope (shortened at bottom and cuts) from Aleppo via Aleksandretta to Smyrna, bearing Turkey 1 Piaster yellow and 20 Pa. green, each with rough perf and tied by boxed “HALEP 81”. Russia Levant two single 3 Kop. green poor cancelled by numeral in rhomboid of dots in blue and showing on reverse “Port Aleksandretta” and “Smirnskoe Agntsvo” d.s. in blue, the cover has been roughly opened, some cuts and border faults, fine and a scarce usage, certificate TOPS
ALEPPO / ALEXANDRETTA / TARSUS : 1871 envelope (opened out for display) from Aleppo via Aleksandretta to Tarsus, bearing Turkey 2 Piaster brick (replaced, certificate shows envelope with missing stamp) and 20 Pa. green bisect tied by boxed “HALEP 81”. Russia Levant two single 3 Kop. green cancelled by “782” in rhomboid of dots in blue and showing on reverse matching ornamental framed “Aleksandretskoe / Agentsvo” d.s. in blue, the cover has been roughly opened at the back and the resultant tears protected by backing paper, still fine and a marvellous usage of this very scarce agency datestamp.
