Offices in Turkey: 1840/60, group of 15 entire folded letters originated from Greek Post Offices in Ottoman Empire, Arta (x1), Larissa (x1), Salonica (x9: 1x type 1, 7x type 2 & 1x type 3), Constantinople (x3: 2x type 2, 1x type 3b) and Smyrna (x1). Interesting rates (prepaid and not prepaid), five disinfected, accountancy markings etc, a very interesting lot
1861/86, Group of Large Hermes Heads, 55 mint and used including multiples, starts off with a handful of 1861 Paris printing including, 1L red brown and brown, a couple of 1861/62 Provisional Athens, an 1862, 80L with vermilion numbers, a very nice strip of four of 5L, very nice stamps throughout, even a very unusual dark brown carmine 20L strip of three from the Last Athens Issue. Nice quality with a few exceptions
1862/82: 14 entires franked with various Large Hermes stamps (singles, pairs or strip), in very good condition, posted from the Post Offices of "Syros", "Pyrgos", "Agrinion", "Thivai", "Tinos", "Galaxidion", "Constantinople", "Skopelos" and "Paxoi". A very interesting accumulation
1944, Mytilini & Gorgopotamos Surcharges Issues, three registered and one regular cover mailed within the island of Mytilene (one to Petra, with its arrival cds); a Gorgopotamos 8dr Surcharge tied to cover by both "IOANNINA" cds and special Free Mountainous Greece seal mailed locally, very interesting
1890s-1920s: 16 postal cards commercially used
Crete 1881/83, "CHANIA (162)" and "RETHYMNON (163)". Group of twelve pieces of 1875/82 Large Hermes Heads with partial to full type IIa postmarks of these two post offices in Crete. Three stamps thinned, no other hidden faults, lot sold for the cancels, scarce.

Some very interesting items, i.e. French Censorship of Lesvos on covers from "NEVESKA", "POLYCHNITOS", "KALLONI" and "PLOMARI" (all type V cds), nice and attractive lot, mixed condition

Accumulation of 66 items including philatelically inspired items following the Balkan Wars, on documents and pieces of paper, as follows: "ED" provisional overprint of Chios on registered cover, pair of 5L "Elliniki Dioikisis" of Cavalla on cover (Holcombe certificate -1993), "Elliniki Dioikisis Dedeagatch" on 5 covers/postal cards, 15 covers with "Ikaria" interest, 6 Salonica items including Michel P1, Philippias, Preveza, Ioannina, 10 items of Lemnos interest (including genuine & forged negative "Ellas/Lemnos"), Imvros (2), Tenedos, 10 philatelic items of Castellorizo (various handstamps or cds) and 8 philatelic covers/stationery with "Thassos" handstamps (including Ottoman cds). Very interesting lot
Tenedos 1913: 25L ovpt "Elliniki Dioikisis" in black, tied on cover with the very desirable old Ottoman cds "TENEDOS - BOZDJA-ADA 13-1-913" in blue, which was re-engraved by the Greeks, sent to "British Post Office CONSTANTINOPLE Fe.10.13" cds. Some cover imperfections
Small collection of 31 items with type V cds from Post Offices of the New Territories (after the Balkan Wars), i.e.: "PHILIPPIAS" on postcard to Italy, the rare "BIGLITSA" on philatelic cover, "AIKATERINI" (sub-type 2) on censored cover, "KALLONI" on cover to Dedeagatch (!), "FILIA (Mytilinis)" on cover, "IMVROS" on cover, "IKARIA" on registered cover, "EVDILOS" on cover, "TENEDOS" blue on postcard. A very interesting accumulation in fine to very fine quality
1912/13 , Very interesting collection including North Epirus with circa 100 different type V postmarks, as well as some postmarks of North Epirus (different types). Included some very rare, i.e. "PSARRA" (x4, cto on Ottoman stamps), "KOUMEIKA", "TIGANI", "RACHAI (IKAROU)", "VOURBIANNI (IPIROU)", "MARGARITION", "GEVGELI", "VLATSI", "GALATISTA", "VOGATSIKON (MAKEDONIAS)", "KONSTANTSIKON", "TSAGEZI (ORFANOU)" etc. This collection contains also hundreds of duplicates, fine to superb strikes
Chios: 1913, E.D. on 25L Greek Litho, group of four singles, a block of four, and a pair with the E.L. instead of E.D. variety. Singles are mint hinged, the block of four is hinged at top, backstamped Roussos. The variety pair is hinged with toning spots. Overall Fine-Very Fine.

1870/1920, unused and used collection including Mi.-no. 1-3 in sheets, 4-8, 9-16 in sheets and 17-22, also french, bulgarian , austrian and turkish post, letters, cards and postal stationery, also some Thrace
1913, Group of stamps as per the following: First Labels Issue with two unused perforated and an imperf sheet all with part watermark; an additional three canceled sheets, one with part watermark, another with an extra vertical perforation at right (scarce); a canceled set, a strip of three with a 10L tete-beche pair, and an unused 10L with a misspelled DIOIKHSIS. All of the sheets are backstamped and/or signed. Greek Administration of Dedeagatch Surcharges on Bulgarian Stamps Issue: used set on fragments, and a selection of mint & used that could probably form an additional 3 used sets when examined and sorted. Finally, a complete canceled Second Labels issue, the two high values creased, some backstamped.
1913, Group of stamps, covers and postal stationery envelopes. Twenty mostly canceled stamps, noting an Autonomous Government of Western Thrace Overprint 5pi on 15st Bulgarian pair tied on fragment, the bottom stamp having only the value (missing the top inscription). Twenty or so covers (including the postal stationery) seemingly philatelic, nevertheless very useful due to their different sizes, paper, watermarks, stamps used, etc.
1912/14, unused and used collection with sheets, part sheets and one cover
1912/13, Lemnos Overprints in Black, Red, or Carmine on Greek definitives: Complete mint set of the black, with the high values signed or backstamped; noted three additional 10drs and five 25drs. A single 5dr and blocks of 10L with double overprint among other errors and font varieties. Within the red and carmine overprinted we noted an Argyropoulos backstamped 5dr, three mint and one used 10drs and four mint and one used 25drs. Errors and varieties include a 2dr inverted overprint among others. Mint and used multiples, as well as a group of unexamined in a glassine
1912/21, unused and used collection including Mi.-no. 2-17 and 29, negative handstamp on cover, multiples, etc.
Lesvos: 1912, 8 items of the early period of the Greek Administration, postmarked "MIDILLI 2", "Plomari" provisional handstamp and "Molyvos". Four covers properly posted, nice and scarce
1914/15, over 50 covers and fragments from issues such as Autonomous Epirus - including a very nice cover to Belgium, Chimarra - a genuine 20L four different overprinted stamps franking to Athens, Greek Northern Epirus, Argyrokastron and others. Most clearly philatelic with overfrankings and complete sets affixed, a handful of Gogakis fabrications, nice variety of origins and destinations as well as stamp combinations
1914/35, Group of six covers and a piece of paper with Bogus Issues stamps affixed, including four from Moschopolis, one with the additional Greek Administration overprint to Athens, a scarce Berat overprint issue canceled-to-order Albanian Postal Stationery Card with six similarly overprinted stamps affixed, and a 1935 private issue Korytsa issue
Argyrokastro issue: 1914, Very interesting selection of over 80 mint and used singles, se-tenant pairs and sheetlets. Included are several not listed in Michel but listed in Hellas and elsewhere. The main value is in the large multiples (sheets of ten, blocks of 8, strips of 3 or 5) or se-tenant pairs. Also included are several folded sheets of paper with various administrative cachets, with stamps affixed on them tied on them by various town cds.
1914, Greek Chimarra Overprint on definitives Issue, Schmitt's study of genuine and different forgery types, with apparently two genuine sets and some singles, two of which do not have Spiromilios' monogram.
1914/16: Various "North Epirus" overprint on Campaign 1912/13 or lithographic definitives on commercial covers, tied with "KORYTSA" large cds (x7), "PREMETI" large cds (x1), "ARGYROKASTRON (x3) type V cds and "CHIMARRA" type V cds
1940/41: 10 items (envelopes, postcards and postal cards), all properly used, with postmarks and censor-markings of "KORYTSA" (x8) and "ARGYROKASTRO" (x2), very interesting
1914/41, Accumulation of mint and used, hundreds of stamps starting off with the desirable Chimarra Skulls, including a canceled set of the original printing, with some small faults but very presentable, reprints and forgeries, Autonomous Epirus Infantrymen including imperf pairs which although marked Falsch we believe genuine, Moschopolis including overprinted and color variations, Erseka and other unofficial issues, Chimarra double eagle, Greek stamps with N. Epirus overprint including at least one set on Campaign and a definitives set to the 3dr. with overprint reading up, and ending with 1941 Greek Administration overprints. Must examine, quality range from faulty to very fine, should expect forgeries in a lot like this
