PRINCIPALITY: 1878, 1pi blue Coat of Arms, never issued. Lower right corner position 20 of the sheet with straight edges at right and bottom as printed. Excellent centering for this and great perforations. Gum staining on the face is common. Unused, seldomly seen.
1899/1900, Allegory Scene Issue: Never Issued, complete, unused, 5pa with toning, 10pa with thin spot, 1pi (two copies, one mint never hinged). Scarce and highly desirable.
1899/1900, Allegory Scene Issue: Never Issued, four copies of the 10pa value, two canceled-to-order by a later 1910s "VATHY" cds and two canceled-to-order by a later 1920s "VATHY (SAMOU)" cds. Two stamps heavily creased, another with smaller faults, one appears sound. Philatelic, scarce nonetheless.
Marathocampos: Registered corner cover (Alexandre Andronikos) sent from Marathocampos to Vathy, with manuscript notice in Greek "Registered 1/2 grossi & Paid", with large boxed "Systimenon" (=Registered) and circular postmark "Samikon Tachydromeion en L. VATHEOS" (Samian P.O. at Port Vathy), both in blue upon arrival. The post office affixed 2 singles of 10 para 1907 (Hellas 9, light blue), canceled with the same postmark (dated 13.FEB.-). The postmarks of Samos are mainly undated (sometimes show the day and the month, or only the year). Rare commercial cover between Samian localities
