MAURITIUS-SWEDEN: 1857, Double rate lettersheet from the Swedish/Norwegian Consulate at Port Louis, backstamped "PACKET LETTER MAURITIUS JU 19 1857" in red, endorsed "per overland mail via Trieste" to Stockholm. The letter was prepaid to Alexandria with "2/-", charged in Germany "12½" sgr. for sea post Alexandria-Trieste and "6" sgr. Postal Union double rate ; in Sweden a total postage due of "1(Rdr) 37 (sk) 6 (rst)" was noted ; a very rare entire via the overland mail; just 3 letters during the skilling period from Mauritius to Sweden have been recorded

DUTCH EAST INDIES - SWEDEN: 1858, entire letter, dated "Padang 16 Maj 1858" and postmarked "BATAVIA FRANCO 7 6" to Stockholm, endorsed "Per Overland mail via Trieste"; on reverse Berlin transit mark (26.7.). At Triest the blue framed "6¼" was applied next to manuscript "3¼/3" for the sea postage from Alexandria to Trieste and Postal Union fee to Stralsund. Sweden charge a total of "1-1" riksdaler. A rare letter from Sumatra.

1852, (Jan 23) folde lettersheet from Dukedom  with manuscript "Paid 20" alongside via "HELSINGBORG 1 3 1852" to Carlshamm, sent via "NEW YORK FEB 7" by the U. K. steamer Arctic (Collins Line) arriving Liverpool on February 17th 1852. Thence in closed mail via England to Bremen (Bremen Closed Mail) where the Stadtpostamt (also acting as the US mail agent there) struck the red two-line "AMERICA ÜBER BREMEN" as if the letter had been conveyed directly from New York to Bremen. A very interesting and rare entire

1854, folded lettersheet from "SAN FRANCISCO 16 AUG" with red crayon "33" and straight-line "PAID" alongside via Panama, New York with red cds "N. YORK BREM PK. OCT 3 PAID", and Hamburg to Stockholm, where the recipient was finally charged "56" öre, a fine and attractive entire

1859, unpaid folded lettersheet from New York via Hamburg to Sweden, charged with "6 3/4" sea postage, Hamburg added "2sgr" and applied blue accountancy mark "8 3/4", and sent via Lübeck to Stockholm, a fine and attractive entire

USA TO SWEDEN: 1868, Washington 3c. rose horizontal pair and 10c. green tied by mute ring cancel with matching cds. "BISHOP HILL MAR 26" alongside to cover via New York with credit handstamp "6" and Bremen with boxed "BREMEN 11/4 FRANCO" and accountancy mark "Weiterfr. 2½ Sgr." to Sweden, 10c. small imperfection not detracting from fine appearance

USA TO SWEDEN: 1869, Pictorial Issue 3c. blue horizontal strip of 4 and single with manuscript cancellation on cover via New York with credit handstamp "4", transported by the "America" of the NGL, and Bremen with boxed "BREMEN 24 11 69 FRANCO" and accountancy mark "Weiterfr. 1½ Sgr." (tying one stamp) to Sweden with transit mark on reverse, a very attractive ans rare entire with an unusual destination, certificates Richter (1996) and van der Linden (1996)

"TITUSVILLE 3 SEP" alongside to cover via New York with red "NEW YORK 4 SEP 4" credit exchange cds. and via Bremen with boxed "BREMEN 9 72 FRANCO" and accountancy mark "Weiterfr. 1½ Sgr." to Baby, Sweden, a fine and colorful use

1872, folded lettersheet from Havana with complete merchants' cachet dated "SEP 3 1782" on reverse, via New York with black integral cds. "NEW YORK SEP 11 7" and Bremen with blue boxed "Aus Westindien über Newyork" struck, onward to Stockholm, Sweden "8½" gr. in blue crayon added for German and sea postage, the recipient was finally charged with "99" öre, a very rare entire with unusual destination
