Small tear beneath adhesives. An exceptionally rare and attractive 1861 issue franking prepaying the rare North German Union Direct Mail rate to Norway, perhaps the only known double-weight cover

FRANCO" and boxed accountancy mark "Weiterfr. 2 Sgr." to Geneva, Switzerland. A very attractive entire showing the scarce 15c. Rate via Open Mail via Bremen which was only possible between January 1st and March 30th 1868
